Having a quick access to Jemaa el-Fna and useful reccomendations from the staff can lead to a superb way to start a road

Location, location, location! Just around the corner from Jemaa el-Fna. You cannot go wrong with that! Overall, tha facilities where nice although a bit old and wary, but the people working there where smiling and extra helpful. Breakfast is served at the terrace which was a nice surprise. And finally kudos to Amel for her magnificient communication skills, english language and reccomendations! She is a gem!

The room was a bit humid at first (of course bearing in mind that it was on the ground floor with no direct sun), but during the night turned super mild with a nice temperature. I could use an upgrade, but I was perfectly fine in the end. Another issue is the wifi. Poor connection speed, so I sticked on my cellular data.

Very Good

The Riad Douja was an excellent choice as it was so Close to the main square Jemaa el fna. In addition the stuff was very friendly like everyone in Morocco ill say and the breakfast was good as well!

The main street where the Riad located it has often many noises at the night and from the tourists as and from the locals as well.

Honest and fair

Excellent location, freindly and helpful staff and clean place. Continental breakfast in my opinion does not go with traditional riad accomodation in historic madina city. Rather traditional moroccan breakfast oilve pickles, , honey, olive oil, amlo, msammen/moroccan sourdough bread with mint tea/ground coffee would have been more appropriate

Property requires overall refurbishment and refreshing decoration to make it more presentable and welcoming Most of appliances dated like AC, hot water boilers etc

Located in the center of the center, small rooms but really nice staff, you feel welcomed and comfy

This Riad is located in a small street 200 meters away from the main square Jama El Fnaa which means inside of the old part of the city (The Medina), so it is in the center of the center of Marrakech, hence the location is excellent for turists who are willing to discover the city center. Me and my friends had the chance to go to the main square and around every night and enjoy it without having to think of how to come back to the Riad since it was at such small walkable distance. Even the early morning when we went outside to look for a taxi to reach the airport and come back we immediately found several taxis parked in the main square and we felt in a safe environment. The reception is served 24/7 even during the night and the street is super silent at night, also there are stands and small shops that sell water, drinks, soap, snacks and so in the arounds. The Riad itself is not the best as style and fournishment I guess, there are some with a pool and bigger spaces while this has just a small fountain and small rooms, so most probably there are some with better features like entrance and good view from the terrace but in this one the staff takes care of its hosts very well. As an example, one day I asked for hairdryer and they immediately provided it to me; another day I asked for take away breakfast and information on how to get a place where to prints some papers and they immediately provided help. The breakfast is normally served on the rooftop and is brought to the table by the staff, you don't have buffet; it is good but I would reccommend to implement it with more options, especially for people who like continental breakfast.

What would you highlight about Riad Douja

A gem in the heart of the city

The location is perfect within a couple of minutes' walk from the main square. Parking is available nearby. Internet worked fine. The staff was very attentive. Rooms have nice decor. Good size terrace to relax and wo derful breakfast. We were there during the earthquake and the staff was extremely professional.

The rooms and the room bathroom need a bit of a facelift.

Good stay at stylish riad

Loved the way that our taxi was arranged at 4 am. We even got a 'take away' breakfast. Lovely 'upgrade' to a room with ac. Amazing decorations, very stylish. The location is amazing, just 1 minute walk to Jemaa el Fna.

The a/c was just a fan, it didn't really cool the air. The tv remote wasn't working.

Very Good

Friendly helpful staff

What I didn't like was the cats coming to the terrace where we have breakfast in the morning and climbing onto us for food the cats were very dirty.It would be nice if the staff can have a separate area for the cats . I found it very unhygienic to let the cats wounder around whiles we had our breakfast . Although I love cats but these cats were very dirty and hungry.

Homely Riad, Good Location

Great Location just off the Jemaa El Fna Square. Perfect for exploring Marrakech, the Souks and Markets. Nice room, very friendly and helpful staff, homely. The breakfast was quite basic but still nice.

This is your choise if u want to stay very near Jemaa el Fna ;)

The basic good riad. Nice tiles in the bathroom. The pillows were quite small.

Although it was very near Jemaael Fna, for me it was not a plus. As I felt restless while eating the breakfast at the terrace, as that never-ending-circus was somewhat heard to riad. Also as I left soon as I arrived and came back late to sleep, I didnt get any real connection with the staff. There was nothing wrong in anything, but I may not choose this one the next time, as I prefer the super quiet riad, sorry.

Wonderful

The staff were friendly and very attentive. Location was very near the big market but wasn’t noisy at all. The room was clean and quite spacious for a family of 3. Services such as luggage storage was very helpful.

Amazing value for money!

Had such a lovely stay at this riad! The staff are incredibly friendly, they gave us great suggestions and always helped out when we needed anything. The riad is located just off the main square of Marrakech, making it super easy to get to any place you want to visit. The room was also quite nice and very spacious. We very much enjoyed the rooftop terrace, both at breakfast time as well as throughout the day - it was a lovely place to just sit and relax after a day of walking around the city. The breakfast served was delicious: a nice variety of pastries plus coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and mint tea. It is definitely great value for money, cannot recommend this place enough!

I think everything was great, don't have any complaints!

Good

Great location just few steps away from souks and central market. It's traditional riad with beautiful decor. Continental breakfast was served on the roof top, but view was limited. Breakfast was plenty and good quality. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Room was small and basic. Toiletries would be a nice touch.

Good

Very lovely and helpful staff, close to main attractions but still very quiet, rather generous breakfast, but mainly sweet bakes, so not ideal for me being mainly gluten free, sink in the room, fresh juice every morning

We had a double room booked with shared bathroom, unfortunately the toilet and shower (one of each, I don't know how many rooms had a private bathroom though) were one floor above our room on the roof terrace which made it quite an effort at night time when needed, especially as it was freezing cold when we stayed. Enough blankets provided but still quite a chill in the whole riad. Small room, probably just traditional, but we felt a bit like they had put a bed and a rug in an old bathroom. We didn't really feel like chilling in the room, not very inviting, but it was enough to sleep in.

Good stay

Very good location. Close to Jaama al Fanaa and a host of stores and cafes. Also, close to main roads which have parking, taxis, etc. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

They should put hand soap in the bathroom and other complimentary items.
